Next Steps

FOLLOW. CONNECT. GROW. SERVE.

Helping people follow Christ and engage in the life of City Bible Church.

Take your Next Step

Next Steps is a series of four steps designed to help you get planted at City Bible Church and discover God’s plan for your life.
We desire to help people know Christ, grow in their understanding of Scripture, build meaningful relationships, and faithfully serve others for the glory of God.

Follow

Everything begins with Jesus. Our desire is to help people know Christ more deeply through the faithful teaching of Scripture, worship, prayer, and the life of the church.

Connect

God designed believers to grow in community with one another. We encourage every person to build meaningful relationships through Bible studies, fellowship, and the shared life of the church.

Grow

Spiritual growth happens as believers are grounded in God’s Word and transformed through faithful discipleship.

Serve

Every believer is called to serve the body of Christ. God has uniquely gifted His people to strengthen the church, care for others, and advance the Gospel.

Why do Next Steps matter?

Our desire is not simply for people to attend church, but to become faithful followers of Christ who are actively engaged in the life and mission of the church through worship, community, spiritual growth, generosity, and service.

Follow.

Follow Christ Through Worship and the Word

Everything begins with Jesus. Our desire is to help people know Christ, trust in Him, and faithfully follow Him through every season of life. At City Bible Church, we believe spiritual growth begins with the Gospel and continues as we gather around God’s Word, worship together, pray faithfully, and walk in daily obedience to Christ.

Ways to Follow:

  • Believe the Gospel
  • Follow Jesus
  • Worship with the Church
  • Learn Through Biblical Preaching
  • Read and Study Scripture
  • Pray and Pursue Christ Daily
  • Take Steps of Obedience, Including Baptism

Your Next Step:

Join us for a Sunday gathering, learn more about the Gospel, and begin taking intentional steps toward following Christ faithfully. If you have questions about Christianity, baptism, or what it means to follow Jesus, we would love to walk alongside you.

Connect.

Build Relationships in Biblical Community

Following Christ was never meant to be done alone. God designed the church to be a family of believers who encourage one another, pray for one another, serve alongside one another, and grow together in Christ. We desire for people to move beyond simply attending services and become meaningfully connected within the life of the church. Real spiritual growth happens through consistent relationships, biblical community, and shared life together. Connection happens through gathering regularly, building friendships, serving alongside others, and intentionally living in community with the church body.

Ways to Connect:

  • Build Relationships Within the Church
  • Join a Bible Study
  • Attend Church Gatherings and Events Regularly
  • Pray and Grow Alongside Other Believers
  • Pursue Accountability and Encouragement
  • Care for and Support One Another
  • Begin Serving Alongside the Church Family

Your Next Step:

Introduce yourself during a Sunday gathering, join a Bible study or group, attend a church event, and begin building relationships within our church family. If you are looking for community or have questions about getting connected, we would love to help you take your next step.

Grow.

Be Rooted in Scripture and Mature in Christ

Spiritual growth is a lifelong process of becoming more like Christ through the faithful teaching of God’s Word, prayer, obedience, and discipleship within the local church. At City Bible Church, we desire to help believers grow in spiritual maturity by grounding their lives in Scripture and encouraging them to faithfully follow Christ in everyday life. As we grow, we learn to love God more deeply, walk in greater obedience, and help others follow Christ as well. Growth happens through consistently sitting under the teaching of Scripture, pursuing discipleship, serving alongside other believers, and committing to the life and mission of the local church.

Ways to Grow:

  • Study and Apply Scripture
  • Sit Under Expository Preaching
  • Pursue Biblical Discipleship
  • Develop a Consistent Prayer Life
  • Grow in Spiritual Maturity
  • Commit to the Local Church Through Membership
  • Encourage and Disciple Others
  • Your Next Step:

Commit to growing in your relationship with Christ through consistent worship, biblical community, prayer, and discipleship. If you are ready to take the next step in committing to the church body, we encourage you to learn more about church membership.

    Serve.

Use Your Gifts for the Glory of God and the Good of Others

Every believer has been uniquely gifted by God to serve the body of Christ. Serving is not simply filling a position — it is an opportunity to love others, strengthen the church, and participate in the mission of the Gospel. At City Bible Church, we desire for every believer to faithfully steward the time, gifts, abilities, and resources God has entrusted to them for His glory and the good of others. Serving happens both inside and outside the church as believers use their lives to care for others, support the work of ministry, and make Christ known.

    Ways to Serve:

  • Greeting Team
  • Children’s Ministry
  • Youth Ministry
  • Worship & Production
  • Outreach & Evangelism
  • Care & Support Ministries
  • Practice Generosity & Stewardship
  • Your Next Step:

Find a place to begin serving within the life of the church and use the gifts God has given you to care for others and support the mission of the Gospel. Whether through ministry teams, outreach, generosity, or everyday acts of faithfulness, there are many ways to serve and make an impact within the church body and the community.
